SOIL TESTING

 The following tests are available:

Standard Fertility Tests

Sample kits are available for each test from us, from UVM Extension offices, and from some garden stores (have your local store contact us if you'd like it to carry soil kits).  These kits include a mailer, sample bag, and information form.

Please note that our new sample submission forms allow you to enter information for up to 10 samples on one form; you don't have to use a separate kit for each sample. You can use any clean plastic bag for the samples; you don’t have to use the ones in our kits, just be aware that we only need one-half to one cup of soil for each sample. You may also download a form and mail the sample in your own plastic bag.

Payment is by check or money order only, made out to "UVM" (just UVM, not Testing Lab or Extension or anything else).

Turn-around time is estimated to be seven to ten business days; results are generally ready to be mailed/emailed on the second Monday after the samples arrive at the lab, although during very busy times (April-May, November-December) it may take a day or two longer.
