Dividing--when?

• hollow centers, thin stems, small or few flowers, bottom foliage poor

  • may not need if still acceptable blooms

• maybe 1-3 years (many)

• maybe 4-10 years

  • daylily, rudbeckia

• generally over 10 years, or not

  • peony, columbine, hellebore, hosta
