• Ideal method

  • lift plant
  • wash/shake soil off
  • select divisions (3-5+ growing points/eyes)
  • pull (hands, pry, garden forks), or cut apart (knife, saw, spade, hatchet)
  • replant sections

• Quick method

  • divide off half or chunk with spade
