Perennial habitats quiz--sun

Choosing the right plants for the right place is becoming increasingly popular, as it results in better success with less work.  This is often called ecological landscaping, or sustainable landscaping.  Most perennials grow best in full sun, including the ones below.  Knowing this is not enough when choosing plants.  Do they prefer moist or dry soil, or grow well in both?  This will of course vary some with culture and location, and cultivar.   Some may also tolerate the opposite, just not grow as well.    Don't know some?  The VanBerkum nursery wholesale site has some photos.  See answers below for moist/dry/both.
