Hampton Court Palace and Gardens are located in the southern part of greater
London, England. Dating to the time of Henry VIII, it is one of the great
palace gardens of England, very extensive both in the palace and in the
gardens. Beside the photos below (taken July 2002 by Ariannah Perry) there
is an old grape vine inside a glasshouse still harvested, and perhaps the
oldest in the world; a laburnum arch in early summer; the oldest hedge
maze in Britain (1691); great fountain and bedding gardens; a newly restored
Baroque-style privy garden; and the site of the great flower show each
July (see past gardens of month here for some pictures of the latter).
